The climate in Playa del Carmen is hot and humid, with temperatures averaging around 30 degrees Celsius. The rainy season runs from May to October, so visitors should be prepared for some wet weather if they travel during that time. December to February is the busiest tourism season, so that's when hotels and airfare will be most expensive. April and May are considered the best months to visit, as the weather is pleasant and there aren't as many crowds.
